Romans 9:16...

As a Christian, have you ever sat back and viewed how your faith and beliefs must seem to an unbeliever? We believe the Almighty God of the universe sent His Son down to earth, born of a Virgin, lived a PERFECT, SINLESS life, was unjustly accused, then crucified and rose from the dead three days later. All so that we could be pardoned of our sins and have eternal life.
It's sheer lunacy!!

This has been eating at my soul for awhile now...

"Do not give Dogs what is Holy, and do not throw your pearls before the swine; lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you." Matthew 7:6

When the Dogs and Swine debase and scoff at the gospel over and over, when they don't perceive its value, is it wrong to keep "casting your pearls" before them? How persistent should we be? When does the time come when all the profanity and abuse of the gospel become to much for a Christian to tolerate?

After weeks of having this debate lulling in my mind, I've come to more at peace with it. What Jesus tolerated is incomparable to anything I'll ever know. To the vilest and most evil charges He responded with deep, unbroken silence and a complacent calmness. I am not here to judge people or decide who is worthy of the Gospel. I am here as a messenger. Only to speak the Truth. There is absolutely NOTHING more I can do. I was once one of those corrupt, polluted souls, but God had MERCY on me and peeled the scales from my eyes. I did NOTHING. I didn't choose to go to Him. I didn't make a CHOICE to believe, He FORCED me to believe. I could have wanted to believe the Truth with all my heart, but if he didn't have mercy on me I would still be a lost soul. If God didn't force me to see the blackness and evilness of my heart, I would still be lost. I would be one of those people scoffing at the Truth.

So my job here on earth is to inform people of the unbelievable gift of Salvation, and pray, pray, PRAY for God to open their spiritual eyes and ears. I am part of a spiritual race, and our job is to make God's glory felt in this dark, drab world.

"It does not, therefore, depend on man's desires or effort, but on God's mercy." Romans 9:16

"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws them." John 6:44
